From John Valle:
Dear Players & Parents:
I am very excited to introduce you to a brand new baseball training facility
in the Rochester area at All Star Sports in Brighton.
What’s different about my academies?
1) Professional Training. All of the sessions will be directed by myself along with instructors that I have personally worked with and trained, and I will be involved with every player that comes through the door. My background and experience as a professional baseball player and my current role as associate scout for the New York Mets organization will be very helpful for serious players looking to take their game to the next level.
2) Individual Attention. My baseball academies will never exceed 8 players at a time. That is a comfortable number of players to work with and each will get plenty of individual instruction.
3) Focus. I believe it’s best to work on positions that the player either currently plays or would like to play. I offer academies that focus on a particular position and since everyone needs to improve their hitting and bunting skills, they all include hitting and bunting instruction.
4) Repetitions.I think to truly learn, players need repetitions and time to develop the new skill. All of my academies are 8 weeks in duration plus the players will be expected to do some drills and practice in between academy sessions.
Fall and winter are a great time for baseball players to concentrate on improving the mechanics of the game in all areas of hitting, fielding, and throwing. This is the time to solidify your good mechanics or to correct something that needs correction.
Becoming a better baseball player requires an investment of time and money. I appreciate your consideration of taking advantage of one of the many programs outlined here.
